Pulsar Wildlife Alaris XG30 20mK Thermal Imaging Monocular

£1,399.95

The new Pulsar Wildlife Alaris XG30 take its name from the Latin, meaning “of the wing”, and is inspired in its design and performance by the passion and needs of the modern birdwatcher. With its sensitive 640×480, 12µm, <20mK sNETD European-made Lynred thermal sensor and a powerful 35 mm f1.0 germanium objective lens, this compact and lightweight monocular is a true pocket-sized powerhouse — revealing even the smallest heat source, in crystal-clear detail, at distances reaching up to 1300 metres.

A Compact Thermal Powerhouse

The Alaris XG30 from Pulsar Wildlife introduces a compact and lightweight powerhouse to our range of high-performance thermal imaging monoculars. With a highly sensitive 640×480, 12µm, <40 NETD European-made Lynred thermal sensor and a powerful 30mm f1.2 germanium objective lens, this device may be small enough to fit in your pocket, but its size is no indication of its capabilities — offering an impressive detection range of up to 1300m in day- or night-time conditions.

Wide Field of View

Designed to reveal even more, the Alaris XG30 features a 25.6 m @ 100 m (14.6°) field of view, opening up your observation area and enabling more comfortable searching and scanning of large areas.

With this wider field of view, its high-performance thermal sensor, and powerful objective lens, this thermal imaging monocular will detect a heat source at impressive distances, revealing in stunning, crystal-clear detail, an observed animal’s important anatomical features.

8 Hours Battery & Fast Charging

With a quick-change APS3 rechargeable battery, the Alaris XG30 will provide up to 7 hours of effective observation (depending on temperature). Keeping the device going well into the night is as easy as removing and replacing the battery. Plus, with USB type-C fast charging available, the depleted battery will be back up to power and ready to use in next to no time. The provided battery can be charged using the Pulsar battery charger, household power, or via USB.

IPX7 Rated

Its robust magnesium alloy bodyshell provides ample protection against everyday bumps, knocks, and scrapes; keeps the device protected from dust- and moisture ingress; allows the monocular to be used in adverse weather conditions, including dense fog, heavy rain, and snow; and even keeps the device running unaffected after being immersed in water.

A stylish new rubberised strip along the bottom of the device ensures better grip in both wet and dry conditions — providing even more security when using the device in the field.

Eight Colour Palettes

A choice of 8 colour palettes lets the user observe their field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimise the device for specific tasks, as well as allowing them to react to changing observation conditions.

  • White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection.
  • Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase chances for recognition & identification.
  • Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.

Built-In Still Image & Video Recorder

A built-in still image and video recording capabilities will capture every memorable moment during observations. Generous internal memory allows for hours upon hours of video storage and the ability to save tens of thousands of photos directly to the device. Just one touch is all it takes to capture a still image of an interesting scene or to start recording video on the move.
