Night Master Troubleshooting

Having trouble with your Night Master lamp? Don't worry! We've got you covered.

Before we start, the Night Master NM1 and Trident models feature a tail-cap lock-out mode, there are full instructions on the tail cap features in the user manual including how to put the light into and out of lock-out mode.

To remove the light from lock-out mode press and hold the tail cap for 2 - 3 seconds, after that the orange indicator light on the tail cap should flash once. Once this has flashed release the switch and press to turn back on (don’t press and hold, this will put the light back into lock-out).

It is common for the switch to accidently be in lock-out without knowing about the feature, please check this first, nine times out of ten this solves any problems of the light not turning on.

Night Master NM1

  1. Check that the tail cap isn't in lock-out mode
  2. Check that the tail cap is tight against the battery tube
  3. Check that the LED is tight into place, if you have another LED, swap your LED module over to see if any of your other LEDs work
  4. Ensure that the battery is charged (3.7V or more required)
  5. Ensure that the battery has been inserted correctly; positive (+) end towards the head. Incorrect insertion of the battery could cause damage
  6. Turn the brightness up to full; you light may appear dim if the brightness level is turned down
