Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 18mK Multispectral Thermal Binoculars
Designed to provide the ultimate observation experience, the Symbion LRF DXT50 combines 4K digital day optics, 4K digital night vision, and premium thermal imaging — keeping you covered in the field in daylight, low-light, and night-time conditions. Plus, an integrated next-generation laser rangefinder provides a measuring distance of up to 1500m with an accuracy of ±1 m, providing accurate distance data between you and your observed object.
Thermal Channel
The Symbion DXT50’s premium 1280×1024, 12µm thermal sensor will achieve unparalleled levels of thermal contrast, revealing the smallest heat signature through dense foliage at distances reaching up to 2300m. Its <20mK sNETD thermal sensitivity will effortlessly cut through dense fog, heavy rain, and high humidity — providing exceptional observation capabilities regardless of adverse weather conditions.
4K Digital Channel
A powerful 4K digital channel provides striking full-colour daytime imaging, clear colour images in twilight and low-light conditions, and high-contrast black & white night vision aided by a built-in IR illuminator — perfect for those who need to start their observations in the day and keep them going long into the night. A built-in, focusable IR illuminator enhances night-time observation even further, extending your detection range and allowing you to pinpoint focus on an object of interest by sliding the convenient IR button at the front of the device.
The combination of these two channels achieves the perfect observation solution, providing a balanced performance across daylight, low-light, and night-time conditions and allowing you to switch between detection and observation at the press of a button.
Combined Observation
Plus, with Pulsar’s intuitive Picture-in-Picture function, you can even view both channels simultaneously, with a secondary viewing box in the top 10% of the screen allowing for combined detection and observation.
Enhanced Observation, Day & Night
Both channels are complimented by a powerful 50 mm f1.0 germanium objective lens, providing an impressive 17.5° FOV in the thermal channel and a 5.8° FOV in the digital channel, opening up the observation area and enabling easier detection and inspection with minimal searching and scanning. Closer inspection can be achieved through the Symbion LRF DXT50’s generous magnification range (2-16x thermal / 6.5-26x digital), maintaining exceptional image quality throughout.
Confidence in the Field: Next-gen Laser Rangefinder
A built-in next generation laser rangefinder provides a measuring range of up to 1500 m with a accuracy of ±1m, with reliable data allowing you to make informed decisions in the field, establishing the distance between you and your observed object with a press of a button.
Steady & Focused: Electronic Image Stabilisation
Whether you’re tracking fast moving objects, walking rough terrain, or observing your subject from the passenger seat of a moving vehicle, Pulsar’s electronic image stabilisation will ensure a steady image. This feature uses intuitive algorithms to digitally correct the effects of camera shake, achieving a consistently steady image and allowing you to focus on your observations without any distractions.
Adapt to Your Environment: 9 Colour Palettes
Nine colour palettes enable effective observation of the field of view, each of which allow the user to optimise the device for specific scenarios and adapt to changing conditions.
White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are perfect for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine will increase recognition and identification capabilities; Sepia, Red Monochrome, and Violet are best for long, night-time observation; and the latest colour palette, Green, mimics the feel of traditional night vision, which is proven to be less stressful on the eye over long periods of observation.
Optimised for One-handed Control: Control Ring and Focus Knobs
With a striking design, the Symbion features a completely new control array that differs drastically to those found on other Pulsar binoculars. Maintaining the classic design aesthetics of a pair of traditional glass binoculars, the Symbion features a new, ergonomically designed control wheel and focusing knobs — optimising focusing and control over digital functions, navigation of menus, and smooth and convenient zooming for one handed operation.
Designed to Endure: Rugged & Robust Bodyshell
The Symbion’s rugged magnesium alloy bodyshell remains robust, protecting against the everyday bumps, knocks, and scrapes you could come to expect during long periods of observation. With its IP67 rating, these multispectral binos will remain unaffected by adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, dense fog, snow, and high humidity — allowing you to venture into climates reaching between -25 to +50° without worry about performance.
Added protection to the Symbion’s eyepieces comes in the form of new rubber eyecup covers, guarding against dust when the device is not in use.
Plus, with a ¼” tripod mount included in the box, the Symbion can be placed on a tripod and left to record — perfect for ornithological/ecological surveys, where a hands-off approach is required.
Extended Observation: Up to 8 Hours Battery Life
The Symbion LRF DXT50 will keep you going through the day and into the night, with a removable and rechargeable APS5 battery providing up to 8 hours of battery life (depending on temperature) before a recharge is required.
Never Miss a Moment: Video Recording with Audio
The Symbion is designed to work 24/7, meaning even more opportunity to witness some unmissable moments. That’s why these multispectral binoculars feature built-in image capture and video recording (with audio) capabilities, allowing you to capture your observations and share them with friends or post them on socials.
Images and videos can be stored on the device’s 64GB internal memory, or to the cloud via the Pulsar Stream Vision 2 app for iOS and Android devices.
Enhanced Hands-free Control: Stream Vision 2
Use the Symbion’s dual-band 2.4/5 GHz built-in Wi-Fi to connect to Android & iOS smartphones or tablets using the Stream Vision 2 app. The app offers a wide range of connectivity features, including:

Important Information
Please check that the item is marked as “in stock” if you are expecting your order to be dispatched on the same working day it is placed (orders must be placed by 3 pm, Monday to Friday). “Pre-order” and “custom-made to order” items have a longer dispatch timeframe, which is clearly stated on the product page.
For products marked “dispatches in x working days,” the dispatch timeframe starts from the next working day after your order is placed; for example, an order placed by 3 pm on Monday would be expected to be dispatched by Thursday.
If your order contains a mix of in-stock items and items that are on back-order or pre-order, we will usually hold your order until all items are ready to dispatch.
Missing Items
In the unlikely event that a parcel goes missing, a replacement or refund will be issued once the courier has confirmed the loss and completed their missing item investigation process. If you believe that your parcel is missing, please contact us in writing using the email address you placed your order with and we will contact the courier to start an investigation.
Once the courier has confirmed that the parcel is missing, you will be required to sign a loss confirmation document which may be sent via post — this must be returned to the courier, once the signed document has been received and acknowledged by the courier, a replacement or refund will be issued.
As a small family business, we appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. We take matters like this seriously and work hard to ensure everything is handled correctly and efficiently.
Important Information - UK Delivery Only
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
