Pulsar Wildlife - New Thermal Imagers from Pulsar

Pulsar Wildlife - Six New Thermal Imagers from Pulsar Blog Post Image - Night Master

We’re excited to introduce you to the next step in Pulsar Wildlife’s evolution, with six new products: the Alaris XQ30, Alaris XG30, Orni XG35, Lumion XL50, Ventex XP35, and the Ventex XT50.

Each device has been designed with the needs of the modern-day birdwatcher and wildlife enthusiast at its core — featuring a striking colour scheme that won’t look out of place with the rest of a nature lover's kit.

What's New?

As part of their dedicated drive towards the wildlife market, Pulsar Wildlife's new products feature a wide range of new features intended to improve nature observation, including:

  • An updated user interface, with green accents and a brighter display, makes for more comfortable daytime observation, reducing the likelihood of eye strain and fatigue.
  • Configurable data bar allows users to choose to show or hide the bar along the bottom of the screen. Show the bar to see all the important data during observations, or hide the bar for a clear screen when recording video.
  • Pulsar Wildlife's new Wild Vision app provides control over all digital functions and settings, essentially turning the users phone into a remote control — perfect for those who wish to use their device hands-free during surveys.

Compact & Lightweight

The Alaris series consists of two compact and lightweight devices designed to enhance nature observations by revealing the smallest heat source.

At the top of the series, the Alaris XG30 features a 640x480, 12µm, <25mK sNETD thermal sensor and a 30mm f1.2 objective lens, providing a large 14.6° FOV and an impressive 1300m detection range.

The Alaris XQ30 features a 384×288, 17µm, <20mK sNETD thermal sensor and a 30mm f1.2 lens, offering a generous 13.3° FOV and a detection range of up to 1050m.

One-Handed Observation

The Orni XG35 has been designed to enable one-handed observation, with an intuitive focus wheel located within reach behind the viewfinder — allowing users to switch quickly between their thermal imaging and day optics.

Powerful thermal optics, a built-in laser rangefinder, and a wide range of digital features and functionalities make this monocular perfect for the avid bird watcher or nature enthusiast.

A 640×480, 12µm, <20mK sNETD sensor and 35mm f1.0 objective lens achieves a detection range of up to 1800m, whilst a seamlessly integrated precision laser rangefinder can accurately ascertain the distance between a user and their observed animal at up to 1000 ±1m, so they can plot their movements and ensure they don’t disturb their subject.

Premium Thermal Imaging

The Lumion XL50 is Pulsar Wildlife’s top-of-the-range thermal imaging monocular, designed to deliver impeccable image quality all the way through its 2.5-20.0x magnification range thanks to its large format 1024×768, 12µm, <20mK sNETD thermal sensor and powerful 50mm f1.0 objective lens.

Detecting, identifying, and observing birds and other wildlife is next to effortless, with a crystal-clear thermal picture and exceptional detection capabilities cutting down on the time spent searching and scanning in the field.

Comfortable and easy to operate, the Lumion XL50’s ergonomic design features zoom and focus rings on the objective lens, lending a familiar feeling reminiscent of traditional cameras.
