Night Master

Buying Guide

Introduction

Night Master started life in 2010 - this is when the Night Master 800 was born, this light revolutionised lamping and took the fieldsports world by storm - it was the original... small torch epic beam!

The Night Master team has a unique understanding of technology in fieldsports and wildlife observation that cannot be replicated by others. As an indepent family-owned business, based in North Yorkshire, the team have combined decades of technical expertise in lamps and infrared (IR) illuminators.

All of our lights are designed and developed in the UK, our latest NM1 and Trident models are our most powerful and versatile yet - all backed by a 3-year warranty.

Night Master NM1

The Night Master NM1 range of long range lamps have been specifically designed for fieldsports and wildlife observation professionals, with controls that are close-at-hand. Beam focus, brightness control and all other functions are operated from the tail-switch allowing for easy nighttime operation. The NM1 XL is our most powerful Iong range lamp, so if you're really looking to stretch the legs of your lamping setup this is the one for you.

The switch is quiet and brightness control is smooth with the rotary dimmer. A lock-out function prevents accidental activation and a soft-glow indicator pulsates when the battery power reaches 10%. The indicator light can also be set to activate when the beam is active - an ideal alert if you leave your infrared (IR) LED switched on.

The modular design of the Night Master NM1 means you can easily swap your LED module from one colour to another within a matter of seconds and with no tools required. It doesn't stop there - you can purchase a separate head with lens to convert your NM1 into a different model (CL, SL or XL) without needing a whole new light.

Night Master TRIDENT

The Night Master Trident light has been specifically designed for fieldsports professionals, with easy controls at-hand. The intelligent TRI-LED mechanism allows you to swap between the pre-installed LED modules from a turn of the knurled dial, without adjusting the focus or beam position. With a large range of focus you can adjust the beam profile from a tight pencil light long-distance beam to a wide-flood for up-close illumination from a simple twist of the head.

The switch is quiet and brightness control is smooth with the rotary dimmer. A lock-out function prevents accidental activation and a soft-glow indicator pulsates when the battery power reaches 10%. INFRARED (IR) ILLUMINATORS

Night Master infrared (IR) illuminators are designed to be used with digital and tubed night vision devices, available either 850nm or 940nm wavelength (5000mw) you can expect the perfect amount of IR light balance from the smooth brightness control and focus adjustment. All Night Master IR LED illuminators are completely legal and safe to use, view more information on Infrared (IR) LED Illuminators vs Illegal IR Lasers.

WITHOUT ILLUMINATOR
WITH ILLUMINATOR

Using a Night Master infrared (IR) illuminator alongside your digital or tube-based night vision device dramatically improves eye-shine distance, image clarity and effective viewing distance far beyond standard performance.

Our most popular infrared illuminator is the Night Master NM1 SL IR (850NM) - this offers the perfect balance of long range illumination with a moderate beam width alongside full focus and brightness control to eliminate any chance of white-out.

How tight is the beam?

Generally, the concentration of a beam on its tightest setting increases with the size of a convex lens (the bigger the lens, the tighter the beam).

Consequently, for achieving the tightest long-range beam, the NM1 XL or Trident models are most suitable offering a very tight beam which stretches out over long distances. On the other hand, if a wider beam is desired, the NM1 CL model would be the optimal choice for flooding an up-close area. The NM1 SL model, positioned between all models, provides a moderately tight beam along with a long-range capability.

All Night Master lights are focusable which allows you to swap between a tight long range beam to a wider flooded beam for up-close illumination.

WHICH SCOPE MOUNT?

We offer a basic scope mount known as the High Scope Mount, this mount is designed with a straightforward yet highly efficient figure-eight configuration, enabling the secure attachment of a long range lamp or infrared (IR) illuminator to your day scope or tube-style night vision device

We also offer a higher quality aluminium scope mount known as the QMD Quick Multi Directional Rail Mount, the QMD allows you to adjust the beam position of mounted lights in seconds. The QMD is designed to secured onto a picatinny rail with the side screw and its ambidextrous design means it can be operated with either hand.

If you have a new tube style night vision device such as the HIKMICRO Alpex or Pulsar Digex C50 you can still use a rail mount by attaching our Scope Ring with Rail to your scope - this allows you to attach a 45mm length of picatinny rail onto your day scope or tube style night vision device.
