Pulsar Battery Guide

Pulsar night vision and thermal imaging devices are popular tools used for various activities such as hunting, observation and security. Ensuring that you are using the correct battery for your device is crucial, this battery guide aims to provide you with essential information on compatible batteries plus tips to maximise the battery life and effeciency of your Pulsar devices.

The main advantage of Pulsar battery packs compared to internal batteries found across different branded products is that if an internal battery fails, the whole unit becomes redundant and will need to be returned to the manufacturer for repair. If a battery pack fails, the unit is still functional and you can simply replace the battery pack.

Charging

Initial Charge: When using a new battery, follow the manufacturers instructions for the initial charging process. Batteries do not come fully charged, it is essential to allow the battery to charge fully before using it for the first time.

Charging Cycles: For optimum performance, it is recommended to periodically perform full discharge and recharge cycles on your battery. This process helps to calibrate the battery and maintain its overall capacity.

To guarantee maximum charging capability, please ensure you use the Pulsar branded charging accessories (such as 3-Pin plug, USB cable & charging dock) supplied with your Pulsar night vision or thermal imaging device.

Monitoring

Battery Indicator: Most Pulsar devices have a battery indicator that shows the remaining charge level. Pay attention to this indicator and recharge the battery when it reaches low levels to prevent sudden power loss during use.

Spare Batteries: Consider carrying spare batteries or a power bank when using your Pulsar device for extended periods away from a power source. This ensures that you have backup power readily available.

Storage and Maintenance

Storage: If you don't plan to use your Pulsar device for an extended period, it is advisable to remove the battery to prevent discharge over time. Store the battery in a cool, dry place.

Cleaning: Keep the battery contacts and terminals clean and free from debris. Use a dry cloth or cotton swab to gently clean them if necessary.

By following these guidelines, you can optimize the battery life and performance of your Pulsar night vision and thermal imaging devices. Remember to always refer to the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer for your particular model. Proper battery management will ensure that your Pulsar device is always ready to deliver excellent performance when you need it.
